Stage times / playing times:
You will be given a stage time 1-2 weeks before the gig by a spreadsheet.
These will be announced on the website ‘Clashfinder’ closer to the gig and provided to attendees in a brochure on the day.
Please send your tech rider to the person curating your stage and to the address Flat FourRecords <flatfourrecords@gmail.com> witht he title ‘Your Band name Marrapalooza Tech Rider’
to pass on to our send tech.
Who to speak to on the day:
Arrive early!
Please check the stage times sheet for details of:
* When you play
* Who your stage manager is and their contact number
* Who your sound tech is and their contact
* Where to get your artist wristbands - your stage manager will have these.
There will also be volunteers to help on the door at each stage who can help you find staff members.
Some of these details may change before the day so please check in to your spreadsheet again close to your performance time. We might be required to swap a stage manager, for instance.
In some circumstances we might need to move bands around, if so' we’ll send out a larger update, though your time is unlikely to change significantly .
Please arrive as early to the venue as possible.
Soundcheck / changeover:
Your stage time sheet will show you when load-ins and soundchecks occur at the beginning of the day. We have marked some bands as the priority for this time. If you aren’t marked as a priority, you are welcome to come down and ask to soundcheck before everything starts, but you’ll need to negotiate this with the sound tech and stage manager. (i.e. ‘It’s about 30 minutes before doors, could we quickly get some levels on our guitars please?’)
Most changeovers are 30 minutes.
If your stage is running late, your Stage Manager might ask you to play a song fewer to catch up. We do this our of respect to the bands that have travelled to us. Marrapalooza is a team effort, we don’t have the ability to accommodate any bands’ egos!
To ensure we run as smoothly as possible, please use the provided venue backline where possible. If you need to make changes or add gear, talk to your sound tech and stage manager before your changover. If you take too long to change over, your stage manager will shorten your set.
Please ensure to finish your set and give as good an opportunity to set up to the other band as you can.
Backline provided:
Each venue will have a drum core [please assume provided without snare, kick pedal and breakables and carpet], bass amp and guitar amp.
This is what the sound tech at the venue will see on the day to help them anticipate.
Do we have a guestlist?
While we’ll do what we can to help we can’t usually provide guestlist spaces to our local bands - please help us sell tickets to this event.
